Bite Me

A sensational way to safely play with pain on yourself is through the wonderful world of biting.

Biting can be both satisfying for the mouth and teeth and also the parts being bitten.

Try warming your body up a bit with some gentle movement, stretching or dancing. You can also wake up your jaw and teeth by stretching your mouth and tongue. The arms are a good place you can reach with your mouth so consider warming those parts up too. You can also bring a little blood flow to your skin by giving yourself some vigorous pats up and down your arms.

Try biting some thick fleshy part of your skin like your tricep or forearm. Notice the layers you are biting into: skin, fascia, fat, muscle. Play with depth of your bite. Play with how long you hold the bite for. Try different parts.

Pro tip: Try a position like a child's pose or lying on your back to help turn on your more 'animal' brain.

Reflections:

Are you more inclined to bite or be bitten?

Can you find a way to both bite yourself and enjoy the bite (as receiver)?

Is there any feelings that biting elicits?
